Virginia’s Voice

This is the time to be thankful.  We are most thankful for the loyal support we have with our parents.  The students are delightful and successful because of the bond and partnership we have with parents.  In addition, I am grateful for the hard-working and dedicated staff that makes the Tracy Learning Center Schools successful.  Each member of the staff is concerned and caring and wants the best for the students.  I believe this makes us a unique place for learning.  We are a great team of students, parents and staff working for the good of all.  Who could ask for more?

T K

Parent/Teacher conferences were a great success!  Thank you to everyone for taking the time to meet with us.  We are so proud of all the progress each student is making.

This week was busy in the classroom.  We celebrated our November birthdays with our monthly party. Our TK students learned the history of Thanksgiving and about family traditions.  We discussed what each of us is thankful for and our week culminated with our very own Thanksgiving Feast!  We are truly thankful for all the amazing families in our classroom that made this celebration such a success!  We hope you all have a safe, happy, and relaxing holiday week!

Primary Charter

Primary parents:  It’s See’s Candy Fundraiser time!!  Order forms went home today in the green folders.  Orders are due on Tuesday, December 1st.  Thank you for continuing to support our TLC fundraisers!

This week in Primary, teachers and parents met for conferences.  We discussed progress to date, classroom citizenships, and the road ahead.  Many discussions lead to how parents can support learning at home.  We provided many ideas, resources, and tips as to how to create a learning environment at home.  Please remember, the teachers at The Tracy Learning Center are a valuable asset and resource.  Use us to assist in bringing the learning home.  We love to help!

As this week came to a close, Initial Phase students closed our unit on The History of Thanksgiving.  Students learned about Pilgrims, Indians, The Mayflower, and how the Indians helped the Pilgrims.  Each student made a book capturing what we studied in the classroom. Encourage your student to share this book with friends and family over the holiday break.  They worked very hard and are very proud of it.  Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.   We will see you on November 30th!

What a busy, exciting week we had!  Each class in Phase 1 had a wonderful feast!  Thank you so much to all the parent volunteers and donations. We have so much to be thankful for.  Parent Teacher conferences went great!  Thank you to all the parents who were able to meet with us.  It is always nice to get to talk about your student’s progress face to face.  Please continue to read daily over the break.

Phase 2 classes were excited to finish up and show off their final biome projects.  The teachers were so impressed the with creativity.  This project allowed our students to work on their research and technology skills, encouraged cooperation and teamwork and they learned many new interesting facts about their biomes.  We are excited to start our social studies unit when we return from Thanksgiving Break!

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!
