It is official!!!! The Primary children moved today to their new classrooms.  Primary Charter has a new home.  We are very grateful to the Tracy citizens who voted for the bond that made the construction of our site possible.  We promise to take tender loving care of our new facility.

I was very pleased with the attendance  of parents who attended our information meeting.  I am also encouraging the parents to join our newly formed Parent Teacher Organization.  (PTO).  We promise to make that organization a positive one.  One in which parents can feel informed and involved.

Next Wednesday is the date for the move in for Discovery school.  Then we will all be moved out of the old buildings.  Those buildings will then begin to be demolished or taken down to studs for the renovation of the new Millennium High School. It will be wonderful to have us all re-united this time next year.

Finally, I am offering parent tours before, during and after school on Friday, March 2.  Come into the office and ask for Mrs. Stewart or Ms. Kay for the official tour of the schools.  You will be truly amazed.

Pre-PTO Message

We are so surprised and pleased with the number of parents interested in joining the PTO!  For those who didn’t get a chance to come to the meeting there will be a sign up slip in your child’s folder this week.  If you are interested in signing up, please fill out the slip and return in the folder on Monday!!  No donations will be collected just yet, we’ll do that at the first official meeting =)

For those parents that have signed up, we want to say THANK YOU!  Quite a few have asked “when is the first meeting?”  We are working on getting a date nailed down and as soon as we know we will be sure to let you all know as well.

We are excited and looking forward to how we can help our students and the school!!

Truly, Angie, Cynthia and Kristy

Thank you for your support in our effort to make this a huge success!!!!

Crab Feed Success!!!!  Thank you

Amazing, Awesome, Best Crab Feed Ever…. So many wonderful compliments on another successful Tracy Learning Center Crab Feed!

This fundraiser contributed $11,555.62 towards TLC and will go a long way in helping finish our campus fields that will compimentour new buildings.  Thank you for your support.

Words cannot express my sincere gratitude to so many volunteers, students, teachers, parents, and generous vendors.

Our 12th Annual Tracy Learning Center Crab Feed was off the hook.

The food was incredible. We had 50 raffle items. The bar was in full swing with our awesome teachers. Mrs. Grant you rock!

Our teachers were rock stars selling raffle tickets and bar tickets.

DJ Trevor absolutely brought the party. Dancing went until 11:00pm.

Millennium High School students serving our guests again “did our school proud” at the helm of Ms. Holmes.

Please take a peek at the incredible list of vendors that donated so many amazing items to the success of our event.

Please consider using their services.

Special shout out to Scotto Winery of Lodi who donated our wine and Tracy Portrait Studio who donated our photo booth.

Thanks a bunch to Denise Garcia with Trine Integrated Systems and Assad Insurance.

Enormous kudos to my committee of amazing parents. Some of these special gals either have students that have graduated or their kids don’t attend our school!

Of course to my children Trevor and Ally Baker. This is a huge undertaking which takes months to prepare for and takes over our home.

Thanks a bunch for always being on your best potato.

T K

This week on TK island the little fishies learned how to be a great scientist.  They learned how to use different tools, like magnifying glass, scale, and magnets.  They also made predictions and tested their hypothesis to see if the boat was going to float or sink by adding different items to the boat. They loved exploring the world around them!

Primary Charter

Initial Phase:

We moved down to our new room today! Students helped us move by taking their chairs to our new room! Our room is now P-2! The students were buzzing with excitement! Our new classroom looks amazing, we are so proud of everything! Check out our classroom instagram for some pictures of our moving day! Our Instagram username is: p2pcs

Phase One

It was such an exciting week this week! On Friday, the students were all able to help their teachers out with the move. They walked their own chairs over to their new room. The students got a tour of the new building and campus. They got to see where the new carline, lunch area, playground and unity will be. The students are very excited to be in their new rooms on Monday.

This week some of our Language Arts groups had a vocabulary challenge and sight word challenge. The winners were presented with medals just like in the Olympics

Phase Two:

Our 3rd and 4th grade students were so excited to move into our new classrooms today!  They were such good helpers and are ready to set a great example in our new building!

DCS

We are less than a week away from our big move!  Students and teachers are excited for the change.  Our new school is beautiful and modern with many upgrades in not only appearance but safety and energy efficiency.  It is definitely a wonderful improvement.

We ask for your patience while we “work the bugs out.”  This is a large change for both students and staff and while we have tried to think of every question but there are going to be things that we have not thought of.  If you have any questions, please direct them to your student’s homeroom teacher.

On a very positive note, our Water for South Project has exploded!  As of today, we have raised $4269.70!  That leaves only $75.30 remaining for our original goal of $5000.00- all way before our original goal date of June28th!  That is amazing and just shows how kids and our school community is.  Thank you for all of your support for this amazing fund raising opportunity and I am sure that we will raise the remaining amount prior to our move.
