Parking
Just a reminder parents or visitors may not park in front of our new office even for quick drop offs/pick ups. If you park there you will be towed. This is a construction entrance/exit ONLY.
Upcoming Show
Millennium High School Drama Department is pleased to announce our upcoming show, The Best of Broadway! This production will have two showings on Saturday, May 12th at 3pm and also 7pm at the Kimball High school theater. Tickets will be available for purchase one hour before each show at the theater box office. Ticket prices are $10.00 for general admission and $7.00 for Students., Seniors and Kids 10 and under. Thank you for supporting the arts and we look forward to seeing you at the show!
Picture Money
All PCS and PreK/TK Spring Picture money/returns and all 8th grade promotion money/returns are due Friday, May 11, 2018. No later!

This week on TK island the little fishies were so excited that finally, the chrysalis turned into beautiful butterflies. We named them Salina, Marshmallow, Leila, Kennyboy, and TK. THen, we watched them fly away and we all said goodbye. Also, more excitedly the little fishies began to prepare for Mother’s Day to show their appreciation and how much they love their mothers!
PCS
Phase One had a fun week! P3 and P4 had AR parties this week and P5 will have one next week. The students worked really hard on their Mother’s Day gifts this week and are so proud of them. They are adorable!The teachers in Phase One would like to thank all the parents and students that showered us with such thoughtful gifts this week for Teacher Appreciation Week! You are all awesome!
Phase 2 students enjoyed a great field trip on Wednesday! Our students enjoyed the tech museum and got to have lots of hands-on fun! Thank you to all the parent chaperones who attended. We also enjoyed a special Cinco de Mayo dance presentation from one of our phase 2 students.
DCS
Time is flying and the end of the school year is very close. Today we had the Jog-A-Thon Rally. Students played games and then they were able to egg a teacher! Pictures will be sent next week. It was a fun rally for both students and staff and the teachers looked great with egg in their hair, and eyes, and mouth…it was great fun.
Upcoming events:
You are invited to a night at the African Museum. This year, the students and teachers have been learning about African culture, geography, food, disease, games, dance, art music, literature, and history. You are welcome to view some of the wonderful things students have been learning about.

What View Student’s Dedicate DCS SWO Projects showing some of the things they have learned about Africa this year.
At the end of the evening we will have a Super Quiz where you can watch teams test their knowledge of Africa.
If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact your student’s homeroom teacher. We are looking forward to an entertaining and educational evening.

CJSF:
CJSF members are attending a school field trip to Stanford on June 6th!
End of the Year Activities:
8th Grade Packets have gone home with all of the information for the Dance, Bowling, Promotion, and Great America. Parents/guardians that were unable to attend the parent meeting can contact Mrs. Dominguez for any questions or concerns. Also, if you would like to chaperone or donate to any of these events please contact Mrs. Dominguez at ddominguez@tracylc.net.

Language Arts:
In Language Arts, students are gearing up for class-wide and school-wide vocabulary competitions! Please study words from all year with your students to get them ready for their practice tests and competition. Students are also developing their inquiry and reasoning skills through their essay this week. Debate the topic with your student — this could be a fun one!
Social Studies:
Students are working on their 3rd Trimester SWO projects by creating (or updating) their resumes and cover letters. Students will even get the opportunity to practice their interview skills!

Awards Ceremony, Wed May 16th
Our school-wide Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 16th from 9:00am to 10:30am. Parents of student winners have been mailed an invitation to the ceremony. All students will attend the ceremony with their first period classes. We are encouraging all student drivers to carpool (if possible) and/or park off-campus in order to open up our school parking lot for our presenters and the families of those receiving an award. Thank you for your cooperation!

Fast Track
Fast Track begins on Tuesday, May 29th, from 8:15 to 12:30. Letters were mailed home to all families to share the class your student selected as well as their teacher and classroom, and details about our attendance policy during Fast Track.
8th/9th Grade Field Trip to Sacramento State and UOP
On May 7th, a group of 51 8th and 9th grade students visited Sac State and UOP for campus tours and admissions presentations. It was interesting to see the differences between the two campuses and their programs!
College Early Start: Fall Semester
If you are interested in or required to take a college class at Delta College in the fall, please attend an informational meeting on Monday, May 21 at 12:30 in room A1. At the meeting, you will learn the benefits of our College Early Start program, as well as the multi-step process for getting signed up!
Interact Club: Water Around the World Lemonade/Iced Tea Stand
Interact Club will be selling lemonade and iced tea during lunch on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. This is an awareness and fundraising project to help build clean water wells around the world. Please send your student to school with extra change if you can!
Class of 2018 Reminders
Save the Date for the upcoming Class of 2018 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 26th @ 10AM at the St. Bernard’s Holy Family Center located at 12100 W. Valpico Road. Doors will open at 9:30am for seating and tickets are required for entry. All graduates will be given 8 tickets and detailed information regarding their rehearsal the day before and specifics on the morning of the ceremony. The tickets will be distributed to students at their Senior Breakfast on May 18, 2018 along with their cap and gown. There are no additional tickets available for request as seating is extremely limited.
