You were such a joy to teach and us teachers could always count on you in making our days just a little bit brighter with your silliness. Good luck in High School, and never stop trying!

Joelle Abris

Dear Joelle,

We are so proud of the beautiful, strong, and well-rounded young lady you’ve become. Throughout the years, we have watched you blossom and break out of your shell into the confident, bright, responsible, and hard-working person you are. You have been able to balance academics, sports, music, community, and family, giving 100% of yourself in all you do. You have a quiet grace and strength about you, never wanting attention, but yet, we all take notice. Your beauty shines inside and out. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you! Congratulations on your promotion!

We love you so much,

Dad, Mom, Jaden, and Julian

Joelle is a silent assassin, in the best possible way. She is very quiet, but behind that silent exterior is a tremendous amount of depth. She may not always volunteer an answer, but you can bet she has it. Joelle, you continue to impress me. I wish you all the best in high school!

Mrs. Cerezo

To use Mrs. Cerezo’s words, Joelle really is a silent assassin! She is one of my hardest working students and goes above and beyond in anything she is tasked. Not only that, she is the sweetest to her friends and the loyal friend we all wish we have. I have been lucky to teach her these past four years and watch her grow into the social butterfly she is now! Good luck in high school!

Ms. Zaca

It won’t be the same without him next year. Congratulations, Alex!

Ms. Dominguez

Gwen Abad

Gwen, Congratulations on your 8th grade promotion! I am extremely proud of the young lady that you have become. You’ve shown such determination, maturity, and adaptability through the last few years. You continue to exceed all expectations, including the ones you place on yourself. Keeping your grades up while having such a busy life is challenging and you seem to handle it with such ease. I know you will continue to succeed just as well, if not more, in high school and beyond. I love you so very much!

Love, Mom…and Jake 🙂

Gwen is a quiet, but determined student. She is kind, compassionate, and very academically driven. I feel very lucky to have taught her these last two years. She has worked very hard to be a stellar student and it is absolutely paying off! Excellent work Gwen!

Mrs. Cerezo

Gwen, Gwen, Gwen. I am SO going to miss you next year!! You are truly the sweetest, most kind person I have met and I am excited to see what paths in life you take in the future. I am going to miss your random, silent giggles in class! Gwen, you put your heart in EVERYTHING. From studying for social studies, to Pentathlon, to getting your grade up in Humanities! This spirit in you is admired and appreciated by all your teachers. I am sad we cannot end the school year normally after four years of being taught social studies from me, but I am happy knowing that you will do amazing in high school and beyond! Continue on silently giggling in life!

Ms. Zaca

-Dad, Beth, and family

Matthew, we have been delighted to have you in our math class. You have grown and shown how committed and responsible a student you are. We have also noticed the kindness and respect you treat your classmates with, and that is a sign of maturity that you will be carrying to your next set of challenges, the first of which is High School.

Fly high and soar like a Falcon.

Ms. Bengson

My first year at Discovery has been filled with a lot of laughs, a good portion of them from Matthew. He always has positive energy and a ton of spirit! Yet, through the fun he always will ask a question to try to understand a subject more or make an attempt to give an answer. Congrats on promoting and we wish you the best in high school!
