Charter Chatter – Monday October 5th, 2020

We are back!!   What an amazing sight to see Primary students join us for on-campus instruction.  We had a smooth carline with temperature checks and questionnaires completed.  Students then put on their masks and grabbed their disposable lunch and headed into their designated desk.

It was a strange feeling but much more excitement than nerves.  Our teachers and staff did a great job making sure protocols were followed and we appreciated the student’s hard work in following rules.  Keep up the great work and we hope to have more students back next month!

WEBSITE UPDATE

First, I must apologize for the issues we are are having with our school website.  At the worst time, the company that hosts the site had a major server failure and is in contact with me daily as they try and get it back up.  I am beyond frustrated but we hope this will be resolved soon.  Any info you need will be posted through the charter chatter until we can get things back online again.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Parents/Guardians/Students! This week you will find information on the Washington DC trip (under our Announcements tab), Leaderships’ weekly Falcon of the Week video (Go Falcons! – under the Leadership tab), our usual peek into our 5/6 and 7/8 classes under each tab, respectively and some very relatable and interesting information about why failure isn’t always a bad thing (with a really neat video to watch – under our Counseling Corner tab). Please also note that we will not have school on Friday October 16th and as mentioned in the Charter Chatter last week, DCS has tentative plans to return to school/campus full-time on November 9th. More information will be provided as the date approaches. Have a great week!
