Thank you to all DCS and MHS parents who responded to our learning survey. Based on the results from almost 900 responses we have developed a system that will allow those of you who wish to stay online to do so; while those families who would like to return to campus can do so with reduced class sizes. Our estimates show 30-40% of students will be in person for all classes. This allows us to maintain distancing and all the other procedures we developed to meet the state and county guidelines.
Rules regarding closures if there is a case on campus and sanitation protocols can be found here: https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/he/hn/documents/strongertogether.pdf
To clarify, DCS and MHS students will be attending classes all day Monday- Thursday as listed on their original AERIES schedule whether you are online or in person. Friday will be ALL students online for a minimum day.
The next step is to get an actual commitment from each student. Below are the forms to sign up for online or in-person learning. We need to hear from everyone so please complete one form for each student by Sunday, October 25th. If you choose to stay online, we will have another signup form going out in January in case anyone would like to change.
At the end of the signup, we ask for any comments or questions. These will be addressed next week when we hold a parent information zoom meeting to talk about the process.
