FAST TRACK 2021
FAST TRACK schedules and specific details have been mailed home.

**Please note that Fast Track schedules were selected for students based on their transcripts, current grades, staffing, class sizes, and taking their surveyed preferences into account when possible.**

Remember that FAST TRACK 2021 will take place fully in-person and on-campus this year with all required COVID-19 safety precautions in place – there is no online, distance-learning format available.

For FAST TRACK 2021 ONLY, students who decline the opportunity to take a FAST TRACK class must inform us by returning the mailed form to the MHS Counselors by May 10th.  This form may be submitted by dropping it off in the front office, or scanning/taking a picture of the form and emailing it to MHSCounseling@tracylc.net .  Please note that declining to attend FAST TRACK 2021 will result in the scheduled class being added to the student’s schedule for the 2021-2022 school year.

FALL 2021 DELTA COLLEGE EARLY START PROCESS HAS BEGUN!
***CES Form and MHS Grade Check Google Form Due THURSDAY, MAY 6th at 11:59pm***

The College Early Start Program is an amazing opportunity to take tuition-free Delta College classes while in high school. If a student earns a B or higher in a college class, Millennium High School will award that student with a $100 scholarship!  *Please note that all Delta College classes will be held online this Fall 2021.*

There are multiple steps a student must take to qualify for the program, but interested students should make sure they are earning A’s and B’s in their high school classes, have time in their schedule for an online college class in the fall, and follow all outlined steps carefully and on time.

***DEADLINE for College Early Start Form and MHS Grade Check Form is THURSDAY, MAY 6th at 11:59pm.  Both are to be submitted online.***

Please see the MHS Counseling website (https://millenniumcounseling.weebly.com/college-early-start.html)  and/or your student’s MHS Info Google Classroom (code: iebvajt) for all the information and forms you will need, and please feel free to email MHSCounseling@tracylc.net with questions.

If a student is interested and has never applied to Delta College, do it TODAY to avoid missing the deadline.  The student will need to have their SSN handy to complete their application to Delta College:  https://deltacollege.edu/admissions/admissions-records-registration/apply-delta-college/dual-enrollmentcollege-early-start-1

Dear Students and Families of the Class of 2021,

With the latest information from County and State guidance for outdoor graduations, we are excited to announce that we can now offer an in-person graduation ceremony on our very own TLC campus.

In order to comply with guidelines and continue to practice safety measures, we are required to limit attendees to 4 guests seated together per graduate.  We will have one ceremony beginning on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 9AM on our TLC Baseball Field.  All graduates, guests, staff, and administration must wear masks and will be spaced appropriately.  Each graduate will be given four (4) personalized tickets which will be distributed with Cap and Gowns on Friday, May 14th.  Tickets will be required for entry and we recommend one vehicle per household due to limited parking availability. Graduates will be receiving more detailed information prior to the grand event regarding arrival and practice times.

We appreciate your flexibility and patience as we work toward honoring our Falcons.  Thank you for your support as we safely gather and celebrate the Class of 2021!

MHS Monday Morning Updates

Good Morning Millennium High School Falcons!

Reminder:  We still have a few students who did not pick up their picture packet and ID card.  They are located in the front office and you can come in any time from 7:30am to 4:30pm to collect your packet.

MHS FAST TRACK 2021 – On-Campus and In-Person

We are pleased to offer our unique program for Millennium High students known as FAST TRACK this summer.  FAST TRACK 2021 will take place fully in-person and on-campus this year with all required COVID-19 safety precautions in place – there is no online, distance-learning format available.

FAST TRACK schedules will be mailed home the first week of May.

For FAST TRACK 2021 ONLY, students who decline the opportunity to take a FAST TRACK class for any reason must inform us by returning the form that will be enclosed in the mailing. Please do not inform us now – await the letter in the mail the first week of May and follow the procedure outlined therein if you choose to decline. Please be aware that if you decline, the scheduled class will instead be added to the student’s schedule for the 2021-2022 school year.

FAST TRACK is an integral part of our program which gives students the opportunity to take ten credits of a course to remediate or accelerate, and/or to take a Delta College course.  During FAST TRACK, students take a full year (two semesters) of a course for 4.25 hours a day (includes a fifteen minute break) for five weeks beginning Friday, May 21st to Friday, June 25th. The day begins at 8:30AM and ends at 12:45 PM. Students should expect at least an hour of homework each day.

ATTENDANCE: Attendance during FAST TRACK is different from the school year in that students are only allowed to miss 8 hours of time during the entire FAST TRACK. Tardies count as one hour and a day is four hours. Any combination above 8 hours results in a need to withdraw and an F grade for the affected semester. There are no excused absences during FAST TRACK. This is necessary in order to meet the state requirement for issuing credit for a year’s worth of a course. Students may not miss more than two days (8 total hours). Four tardies are the equivalent of one day of school, therefore; two days absent and one tardy will result in a failing grade.

Please watch for your FAST TRACK schedule in the mail the first week of May.  Thank you!
