Special Education Services at TLC
The Special Education Department at TLC is determined to provide a free and appropriate public education to every student enrolled. We are committed to doing this within the least restrictive environment, meaning that TLC attempts to provide interventions within the general education environment as much as is possible, based on individual student needs.
Each school has a Education Specialist and a Speech Therapist as well as a school wide Occupational Therapist. Our schools are currently able to provide the following services to our students identified with special needs:
- Specialized academic instruction (Resource Support)
- Speech and Language therapy
- Social Skills Groups
Please feel free to reach out to the Special Education department if you have any questions or comments related to Special Education. We look forward to working with you!

JOG-A-THON!!!!!!
Primary Charter is holding it’s 7th annual Jog-A-Thon on November 10th. Your student has received an envelope with a Jog-A-Thon pledge form attached to it. Students have until December 3rd to collect as many flat or per-lap pledges as possible.
Your student will be given a Jog-A-Thon t-shirt provided by the Physical Education Department. Each lap your student completes will be tallied on the shirt. You will reference their shirt to collect any per-lap pledges made. On December 3rd the envelopes must be returned to their classroom teachers.
All funds raised go directly back to Primary Charter School and your child’s education. The Jog-A-Thon supports physical education along with art, Spanish, and music electives. We also provide students with an awards/prize ceremony a few weeks following the Jog-A-Thon to celebrate their efforts to improve their physical health and support their school.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

***An Important Message from the Front Office***
Below you will find a link to our electronic parent website (AERIES). This database contains critical information about each DCS student and each student’s emergency contact information. This portion MUST BE FILLED OUT BY YOU. All data will be used to contact you in the event of an emergency. It is very important that you take the time to ensure we have all necessary information.
Use the following link https://tracylearningcenter.aeries.net/student and login in with the email and password you created when registering your student at the beginning of the school year. From there, navigate to the DATA CONFIRMATION PROCESS link. Once you enter the information, THE LAST STEP IS TO PRINT THE EMERGENCY CARD and turn it into the front office or to your child’s teacher.
