Important Information regarding COVID-19:
We have had many calls and questions from parents regarding student quarantine and isolation protocols, considering the current surge in cases attributed to the highly transmissible Omicron variant.
We follow the recommendations set forth for K-12 schools by the California Department of Public Health. Due to the increasing case rate in our county, the recommendation is to regularly monitor your child for symptoms, test frequently, and refer to the following updated guidelines from the CDPH:
-
Students and staff may follow the new isolation guidelines. They isolate for 5 days from positive test date (or symptom onset), they may test on day 5 or later, and if negative, no fever and resolving symptoms, return on day 6. If they do not test or continue to test positive, they may release on day 10 and return day 11 with no fever and resolving symptoms.

Keeping our students in school continues to be our goal. Thank you for testing your children and keeping them home when they are sick. As always, we will continue to follow all guidelines including masking (N95s now recommended for all), and deep cleaning/sanitizing classrooms and common areas. The San Joaquin County Office just informed us that they have N95 masks for our staff and students so we will be distributing those this week. We will get through this together!!
