TLC Charter Chatter

News, Information, and Updates for Primary, Discovery, and Millennium Charter Schools

A Message from our CEO, Carolyn Woods

Dear TLC family,

We received very sad news from Ms. Kay. Her husband, Tim, lost his battle with cancer last weekend. Tim was a beloved father and grandfather but most of all, he was an amazing partner to Ms. Kay. He was deeply loved by all who knew him. Please keep Kay and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Woods

Primary Charter School

Thank you to everyone who shopped at our Scholastic Book Fair this week! It was a huge success and we are glad we were able to bring it back. Our school even gets a portion of the profits to spend on new books for our classrooms! You can still shop online until March 27: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/tracylc

Our Read-a-Thon closed on Wednesday but the donations are still coming in. As of Friday, we were at $19,875! If you’d still like to donate, you can click here to help us reach our goal.

PCS Read a Thon

We appreciate everyone who attended parent teacher conferences this week. Thank you for your questions and continued involvement in your child’s education.

Look at what our Phase 2 students have been busy working on in Spanish with Senora Wharton. They created beautiful and creative Spanish vocabulary posters.

AERIES Emergency Info Needed.

We still have several families who have not completed an updated emergency contact form. This information is very important and is used to contact parents if there is an emergency. If you have not completed this form, please do so and return it to our front office ASAP

Click here to see into our DCS classrooms!

Our 5-6 DCS students were studying the Hindu religion this week and deciding to share what they learned with all the Discovery classes. Here are some pics from our Holi festival celebrating Spring!

**Attention All Parents**

Below you will find a link to our electronic parent website (AERIES). This database contains critical information about each DCS student and each student’s emergency contact information. This portion MUST BE FILLED OUT BY YOU. All data will be used to contact you in the event of an emergency. It is very important that you take the time to ensure we have all necessary information.

Use the following link https://tracylearningcenter.aeries.net/student and login in with the email and password you created when registering your student at the beginning of the school year. From there, navigate to the DATA CONFIRMATION PROCESS link. Once you enter the information, THE LAST STEP IS TO PRINT THE EMERGENCY CARD and turn it into the front office or to your child’s teacher.

If you believe you have already completed this process OR you need help completing this process please call 209-290-0511. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

DON’T MISS OUT!

This is the last month to purchase a yearbook or make a senior dedication for your Millennium student. Books will no longer be sold and ads cannot be accepted after April 2nd, in order to have the books printed and distributed on time. Our book is 200 pages and has every sport, activity, club, and Falcon covered — your student will not want to miss this yearbook! Go to http://yearbookordercenter.com and enter code 21362 to purchase a yearbook or see options for senior dedications. Use code LASTCHANCE to save $5 on the book, and LASTCHANCEAD to save $10 off our senior dedications.

Questions? Email Miss Lamanna, blamanna@tracylc.net.

LUNCH: Ordering lunch is slightly different this year. All students should have a lunch account to pay for lunches. To register, go to https://www.mymealtime.com/ and create an account. You must choose/type in your specific school (Millennium High School) and you will need your student school I.D. number. If you have any difficulties creating an account online, money can still be added to your account by either cash, check, or debit card. You can drop off payment in the lunch dropbox that is located in the main office. We are still in the process of adding new students to our mealtime system and hope to have it completed next week.

Lunch is ordered the day before it is delivered to class. All students should order their lunch during 4th period/HUB time. The Google Classroom code is SEUNSOU. Applications for Free & Reduced meals must be completed and turned in every year. You can apply on the school’s website.
