COVID-19 April Update:

Case counts by school

PCS: 1

DCS: 3

MHS: 2

In terms of exposures, the CDPH guidelines for K-12 schools, most recently updated on April 6, 2022, now state the following:

Schools may consider permitting asymptomatic exposed students, regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status or location of exposure, to continue to take part in all aspects of K-12 schooling, including sports and extracurricular activities, unless they develop symptoms or test positive for COVID-19. It is strongly recommended that exposed students wear a well-fitting mask indoors around others for at least 10 days following the date of last exposure, if not already doing so.

As always, a letter will be sent home or emailed if someone in your child’s class tests positive. To read the guidelines in their entirety, refer to the following link:

Primary Charter School

Welcome back! This week we received an amazing surprise donation from the Toys for Tots Literacy Program. They graciously donated over $800 worth of BRAND NEW books to our mobile library! We are so appreciative and cannot wait to stock our library.

Our 3rd and 4th grade classes got to have a fun, hands on science experiment with the World of Wonder science museum. They learned learned about force, velocity and got to create bottle rockets and launch them. It was a great learning experience and our students watching their rockets fly!

Remember: Friday, May 6 is an early release day.

FAST TRACK 2022 – Monday, May 23rd to Friday, June 24th

FAST TRACK is a MANDATORY program for all high school students which gives them the opportunity to take ten credits of a course to remediate or accelerate, and/or to take a college course. During FAST TRACK, students take a full year (two semesters) of a course for 4.25 hours a day (includes a fifteen minute break) for five weeks beginning Monday, May 23rd to Friday, June 24th. The day begins at 8:30AM and ends at 12:45PM.

ATTENDANCE: Attendance during FAST TRACK is different from the school year in that students are only allowed to miss 8 hours of time during the entire FAST TRACK. Tardies count as one hour and a day is four hours. Any combination above 8 hours results in a need to withdraw and an F grade for the affected semester. There are no excused absences during FAST TRACK. This is necessary in order to meet the state requirement for issuing credit for a year’s worth of a course. Students may not miss more than two days (8 total hours). Four tardies are the equivalent of one day of school, therefore; two days absent and one tardy will result in a failing grade.

Letters have been mailed home including additional details as well as your child’s FAST TRACK class.

One of our former Falcons, Matthew Adrineda (Class of 2015) has graduated from San Jose State University in their Visual Arts Program. He’ll be headed home for the summer to teach an exciting summer class at the Tracy Grand Theatre. The course is Character Design & Concept Art. If anyone is interested in working at a game company or animation studio, Matthew can help set up a proper foundation for future art school applicants to strengthen their portfolio for admissions. It’s not too soon to start! Middle and high school age students are encouraged and welcome to attend.

LUNCH: Ordering lunch is slightly different this year. All students should have a lunch account to pay for lunches. To register, go to https://www.mymealtime.com/ and create an account. You must choose/type in your specific school (Millennium High School) and you will need your student school I.D. number. If you have any difficulties creating an account online, money can still be added to your account by either cash, check, or debit card. You can drop off payment in the lunch dropbox that is located in the main office. We are still in the process of adding new students to our mealtime system and hope to have it completed next week.

Lunch is ordered the day before it is delivered to class. All students should order their lunch during 4th period/HUB time. The Google Classroom code is SEUNSOU. Applications for Free & Reduced meals must be completed and turned in every year. You can apply on the school’s website.
