A Message from our CEO, Carolyn Woods
This week we celebrated Millennium High School students and their accomplishments during our annual MHS Awards Ceremony. Members of the community presented scholarship awards to many of our senior class recipients. Other awards included athletes of the year, aspire/advance/achieve academic awards and falcon of the year awards in electives. Special recognition was given to senior Nate Washington for his accomplishment in achieving the Navy Reserve Officers Training Corps BOOST Scholarship. Congratulations to all who were recognized and to the entire senior class for all of your hard work and dedication. I am so very PROUD of all of you!!!!

FAST TRACK 2022 – Monday, May 23rd to Friday, June 24th
FAST TRACK is a MANDATORY program for all high school students which gives them the opportunity to take ten credits of a course to remediate or accelerate, and/or to take a college course. During FAST TRACK, students take a full year (two semesters) of a course for 4.25 hours a day (includes a fifteen minute break) for five weeks beginning Monday, May 23rd to Friday, June 24th. The day begins at 8:30AM and ends at 12:45PM.
ATTENDANCE: Attendance during FAST TRACK is different from the school year in that students are only allowed to miss 8 hours of time during the entire FAST TRACK. Tardies count as one hour and a day is four hours. Any combination above 8 hours results in a need to withdraw and an F grade for the affected semester. There are no excused absences during FAST TRACK. This is necessary in order to meet the state requirement for issuing credit for a year’s worth of a course. Students may not miss more than two days (8 total hours). Four tardies are the equivalent of one day of school, therefore; two days absent and one tardy will result in a failing grade.
Letters have been mailed home including additional details as well as your child’s FAST TRACK class.

ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS, NEW AND RETURNING TO COLLEGE EARLY START: The MHS Grade Check Google Form will be due Thursday, May 12th at 11:59pm. Based on your preferred classes, you may need to submit a College Early Start Form or a Dual Enrollment Form as well, which will be due on Monday, May 16th at 11:59pm. Students need to meet these deadlines, and be earning A’s and B’s in their high school classes to qualify. *The MHS Grade Check Form and recommended classes will be released on students’ Nest Google Classroom this week.*
One of our former Falcons, Matthew Adrineda (Class of 2015) has graduated from San Jose State University in their Visual Arts Program. He’ll be headed home for the summer to teach an exciting summer class at the Tracy Grand Theatre. The course is Character Design & Concept Art. If anyone is interested in working at a game company or animation studio, Matthew can help set up a proper foundation for future art school applicants to strengthen their portfolio for admissions. It’s not too soon to start! Middle and high school age students are encouraged and welcome to attend.
Here is the direct link to the class with course description and cost: https://apm.activecommunities.com/cityoftracy/Activity_Search/17544
LUNCH: Ordering lunch is slightly different this year. All students should have a lunch account to pay for lunches. To register, go to https://www.mymealtime.com/ and create an account. You must choose/type in your specific school (Millennium High School) and you will need your student school I.D. number. If you have any difficulties creating an account online, money can still be added to your account by either cash, check, or debit card. You can drop off payment in the lunch dropbox that is located in the main office. We are still in the process of adding new students to our mealtime system and hope to have it completed next week.
Lunch is ordered the day before it is delivered to class. All students should order their lunch during 4th period/HUB time. The Google Classroom code is SEUNSOU. Applications for Free & Reduced meals must be completed and turned in every year. You can apply on the school’s website.
