Primary Charter School
Thank you to everyone who came to our Family, Food, and Fun night last Friday. It was well attended and we enjoyed seeing all of our PCS families visit and enjoy each other. Our raffle baskets raised over $1,000 and our food vendors were busy all night!
Our leadership students have been hard at work making Boo Bags to sell next week at recess. While supplies last!
PCS Jog-A-Thon Sponsors Needed!
Hello PCS parents, we are preparing for our 8th Annual Jog-A-Thon and we are looking for business owners who are interested in supporting our school and students by sponsoring our event. All donations will be used for event t-shirts and student awards and prizes. Sponsors will have their business logo printed on students’ shirts, and we have a banner option as well. If you or someone you know owns a business and would like to sponsor this event please contact Coach Knaus at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will email you all of the necessary information.

Any educator will tell you that no two children think and learn the same way, and all have experienced how it is sometimes necessary to present information in a completely different light to reach some students. The theory of multiple intelligences confirms these empirical experiences and can provide educators with a framework and tools that will allow them to better meet the needs of the different types of learners present in every classroom.
What is the theory of multiple intelligences?
The theory of multiple intelligences (MI) was first advanced by Dr. Howard Gardner, Hobbs Professor of Cognition and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and adjunct professor of psychology at Harvard University, in his 1983 book Frames of mind. Challenging the traditional concept of intelligence, the theory of multiple intelligences suggests that each individual has eight different types of intelligences. These intelligences combine to form any individual’s specific cognitive potential.

As required by California law (Health and Safety Code 120325 – 120375), parents need to provide proof of a Tdap vaccine (pertussis – Whooping Cough Booster) for all students entering the 7th grade. Documentation must state the shot was given on or after their 7th birthday. This means ALL current 7th graders must get up to date NOW.
It is important that you begin now, to ensure your child gets his/her required vaccination prior to school re-opening on August 1, 2022. We suggest you call and arrange this vaccine appointment asap.
Getting them up to date now, will not only protect them against Pertussis but also ensure class placement and prevent exclusion from school once students return to campus.
Remember to ask your physician about other vaccines your child may need, and bring your child’s yellow immunization card to the visit. Please return a copy of ALL up-to-date immunizations to school prior to the beginning of the next year school year.
For questions, please call your primary physician today or call the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Program, at (209) 468-3481.
Students will not be allowed to attend campus classes without his/her completion of all school-required vaccines/immunizations.

Vivek Cherian of Millennium High School has been named a Commended Student in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented to this scholastically talented senior.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2023 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2023 competition by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC. “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”
