A Message from our CEO, Carolyn Woods

Hello, TLC family! We have had three wonderful weeks at Primary, Discovery and Millennium. Make sure to click on the link for each school to read about important news and upcoming events each week.

Did you know that we have a new fall sport at Millennium? It’s GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL!!!! We have a team of amazing female athletes who jumped at the chance to take on the challenge of starting a new sport at Millennium. They practice and play hard. We are excited for the opportunity to follow their progress throughout the season. The best part about flag football is that the home games will be played right here on the TLC campus! You can follow the team and check out their schedule at maxpreps.com. Hope to see you at a game!

A Message from our CEO, Carolyn Woods

Hello! Thank you to all who attended back-to-school night this week for Discovery and Millennium. It was great to see the gym so full of enthusiastic families and students! If you were unable to attend, Millennium’s slide show can be viewed at www.tracylc.net

Now that you are all aware of our carline policy and procedures, please follow the guidelines when dropping off and picking up your children.

Primary offers two pick-up options: walk-up (located in front of the administration building) and traditional drive-through carline (located on Mae). When exiting the carline, DO NOT turn RIGHT  so as to not disrupt the DCS carline.

Discovery offers two pick-up options: walkers (students are released and walk on their own) and traditional drive-through carline (located in front of the administration building)

Millennium offers two pick-up options: walkers (students are released and walk on their own) and traditional drive-through carline (located in front of the administration building)

***PLEASE be kind and courteous to each other and to our staff. We are all in this together in the name of safety for our students!***

A Message from our CEO, Carolyn Woods

Welcome back to another amazing school year at the Tracy Learning Center! My name is Carolyn Woods, I am the CEO of TLC. I have been a part of the Tracy Learning Center for twenty years now and each year continues to bring excitement and joy! I am proud to be a part of the charter school community. Charter schools are unique educational institutions that offer an alternative to traditional public schools.

Here are a few interesting facts about our charter schools:

*We are a tuition-free public school.

*We are directly funded, meaning, we operate our charter schools independently of the Tracy Unified School District.

*TUSD is our authorizer, they are not involved in any of our daily operations or decision-making.

*We have an extended school year, 205 days for PCS and DCS. MHS follows a traditional 180-day year with an added 25 days of Fast Track, our mandatory summer program for high school.

*We do not rely on textbooks, we rely on the expertise of our educators!

Thank you for choosing the Tracy Learning Center. I wish everyone a fantastic 2023-24 school year!

Thank you!

Mrs. Woods
