News, Information, and Updates for Primary, Discovery, and Millennium Charter Schools
A Message from our CEO, Carolyn Woods
The following is a message from the Interact Club at Millennium. Interact is a club that brings together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.
On August 8th, wildfires began to spread and devastate the island of Maui. The fires left homes destroyed, resources depleted, and lives ended. To alleviate Maui’s suffering, organizations such as food banks are accepting donations to assist victims.
Millennium High School’s Interact Club is hosting a recycling fundraiser in support of Maui. All proceeds will go towards the Maui Food Bank. Students will be collecting plastic and aluminum recyclables and placing them in fundraiser-specific bins over the course of the upcoming school week, starting September 11 and ending September 15. We encourage students of all grades to bring their bags of recyclables from home, and to recycle any bottles or recyclables at school in the fundraiser bins. The bins will be located in the Primary hallway, the Discovery lunch area, and the Millennium lunch area. Please feel free to bring plastic and aluminum recyclables. Glass will not be accepted. Thank you!
