News, Information, and Updates for Primary, Discovery, and Millennium Charter Schools
A Message from our CEO, Carolyn Woods
Attention 8th Grade Parents– it is open enrollment time for Millennium High School. Remember, DCS students must apply for admission to Millennium and spots are limited. Submit your application anytime during the month of November- but the sooner, the better!!!
Why Choose Millennium:
Our 2023 state test scores are higher than all other high schools in Tracy in English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science.
Courses offered each year are determined by student need. Students start high school in classes that challenge them appropriately.
We are committed to preparing students for life beyond high school, including college or vocational training. This is infused in our graduation requirements for all students, which include 200 hours of community service, Life Skills and Career Education classes, and a senior internship.
For those looking for rigorous academic opportunities, Millennium currently offers four Advanced Placement (AP) classes, and hopes to continue adding more. Additionally, over half of our students take San Joaquin Delta College classes while in high school, and last year’s graduating class earned an average of 23 units each, which is the equivalent of nearly a year of college. Incoming freshmen students have the option to join a cohort program called Early College Pathway which results in an Associate’s Degree by the end of high school as long as they earn good grades in all required classes. The college courses have free tuition, and TLC awards a $100 scholarship per B or higher earned in each college course.
Millennium has thirteen sports, twenty-five student-driven clubs, an award-winning marching band, an excellent theater arts program, and a robust array of school-wide Leadership activities including rallies and dances. We also have a student to staff ratio of 15:1. Millennium has the benefits of access to a well-rounded high school experience, and with less than 500 students, it also has the benefits of a close-knit community where students have access to teachers and counselors who are invested in their success.
